I’m not sure how I should feel about this week. I was away working. Crazy, crazy things happened (that I don’t really want to get into), so I was’t able to get all my runs in. I didn’t hit workouts that I should have done – namely tempo and strength runs. But, it’s done. I can’t go back and change it. I have to keep reminding myself that I’ve been running more that I’ve ever been before. Even with a few weeks being off, I’ve kept pushing. I’ve been more consistent. I will try to talk myself up, not down.
This week was ok. I didn’t get in all my runs. I quit my long run. I did get in my tempo and strength run though – so that is something to be happy about.
I also flew to Australia for work, so missing a few runs is expected. So, this week was just ok.
An OK week. It started out well, then I went to Kauai with my husband, and I didn’t really want to run while I was away. I decided to do a little bit of my run so I didn’t miss out on it completely. I also missed one easy day of running. But I’m ok with this, it could be good to give my legs a bit more of a rest.
My last 8 miler for the week was tough. And to be honest, I’m struggling with running. I just don’t feel like it. I just need to somehow find the motivation to keep going.
What a week. Almost 50 miles. I really want to go out and run 0.5 to make it up to 50 miles for the week. So close! But you know what? I’m going to resist! I’m sure I’ll get there eventually.
I didn’t hit all my paces this week. I cut my last speed workout for this training plan short. But I went out and ran every run. I didn’t want to, but I did it. To me, this makes this week a win.
I’m not sure why I’m even writing this post. But why not? It’s like my diary to myself. Continue reading
And just like that, I’m halfway through my training. Crazy. 9 weeks until CIM. That’s just over two months. Eep! I can’t wait. I’m over marathon training! I am getting a little sick of running the same routes. And you know it’s bad when the first half the week I was still running in Denver! Now that I’m back at home, I can go two directions from my house. Both are pretty much straight lines. I know, I should drive somewhere and run some place different, but I’m way too lazy for that nonsense.
This week was a crazy one! I flew from Honolulu to Portland, to Denver. And managed to run in all of these places too! (I was there visiting my sister-in-law and my niece!)
It was crazy running in Denver. The altitude was very different. My first run was a tempo, which didn’t happen. My next few runs went well – but they were all easy runs. I’m just happy I got out the door.
