CIM Training – week 13

I’m not sure how I should feel about this week.  I was away working.  Crazy, crazy things happened (that I don’t really want to get into), so I was’t able to get all my runs in.  I didn’t hit workouts that I should have done – namely tempo and strength runs.  But,  it’s done.  I can’t go back and change it.  I have to keep reminding myself that I’ve been running more that I’ve ever been before.  Even with a few weeks being off, I’ve kept pushing.  I’ve been more consistent.  I will try to talk myself up, not down.

Monday, October 23rd

Scheduled: 10 miles at long pace
What I did: 10 miles @ 9:41min/mile

Tuesday, October 24th

Scheduled: 7 miles at easy pace
What I did: 7 miles @ 10:28min/mile
What an awesome run.  I ran all around Sydney.  Starting from my hotel, I went across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, through the Botanical Gardens, around the Opera House and then under the bridge.  Amazing!

Wednesday, October 25th

Scheduled: 3 x 2miles (800m recovery)
What I did:  1 x 2 mile @ 11.0kph, 1 mile warm up and cool down.
This run was late at night on the treadmill.  I gave up. I decided I needed sleep more than the run, and this was the day the craziness on my trip began.  At least I got in a few tougher miles.

Thursday, October 26th

Scheduled: Rest
What I did: Rested.

Friday, October 27th

Scheduled: 9 mile @ tempo pace
What I did: 1 mile warm up, 2 miles @ tempo pace (10.7kph), 1 mile cool down.
Again, this was after a very, very long day.  I decided to call it quits.  Plus, the hotel gym was ridiculously hot.  Ugh.

Saturday, October 28th

Scheduled: 6 miles at easy pace
What I did: 5 miles at 10:26min/mile
This was a beautiful morning run around Palm Cove, in North Queensland.  I didn’t really want to go, but it was stunning!

Sunday, October 29th

Scheduled: 6 miles at easy pace
What I did: nothing.
Again.  No time for running.

This Week’s Total Mileage: 30

Training Total Mileage: 442.66
