Halfway through the month of January already!
It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks – I spent the last two weeks of the year, and the first two of this year, in Australia. I was on a working trip for the first two, and the second two I was visiting family and friends. It was an amazing time – and I only ran twice the entire time! Eep!
I did, however, walk a lot! My husband and I decided to try and get our step goals (on our Garmin watches) every day for the month of January. This means a lot of walking. Luckily we were in Perth, and right next to the beach, which has the most amazing walking path.
Now, running goals for 2017. I don’t really have any. I have the Hapalua Half Marathon in April and nothing else on the cards. I am thinking of running the Honolulu Marathon again. If I’m going to be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of this marathon. It’s very haphazard at the start, the course is just ok, and the entertainment on course is pretty much nonexistent. But, I have run it twice, and it is a great way to keep me fit going into the end of the year – so I’ll probably sign up.
I do have a training plan for the Hapalua Half Marathon that I just finished up, and I’ll put it up for all to see in another post. One little goal will be to write an update of my training each week – I usually fail at this!
